Susan Kellogg

Susan LaVerne Kellogg, beloved mother, grandmother, godmother, sister, niece, and friend, passed away on 5 February 2022.  She was born on 10 January 1955 in San Diego, California and grew up in Lafayette, Louisiana.

After a successful 30-year career as an executive in the commercial and residential lending sector, Susan retired in 2010.  As her friends and family would know, retirement was not for her, so she went to nursing school and then worked for UTMB and Healing Internal Medicine as Practice Manager until long-haul Covid took her ability to work in 2020.

Susan is preceded in death by her parents, Kirby and Beverly Landry, and her sister, Cheryl Kellogg.  She is survived by her two children, Eric and Amanda Duhon, her grandchildren Inez Barrera, Maximilien Roger, and Vileor Duhon, her goddaughter Bev Mizrany and her husband Chris Mizrany, her brother Kenneth Kellogg, her nephew Nicholas Mizrany, her aunt Dona Gresham, and her friends and colleagues which she held so dear to her.

Our family is grateful for the compassionate and dedicated care Susan received from the staff of Memorial Hospital, who treated Susan and her family during a very difficult time.

A private memorial for family and friends will be held on 9th February in Houston.
