Terrance Burns

Terrance Joseph “TJ” Burns passed away unexpectedly on November 3, 2021, in Houston,TX. He was born February 1, 1961- a 3rd generation native Houstonian. He graduated from St. Thomas High School in 1979 and continued his education at Southwest Texas State University, graduating in 1985. While there, TJ was very active in his fraternity, Pi Kappa Alpha. As a Pike he held numerous leadership positions including Social Chairman (which should surprise no one!) and President and made many lifelong friends who were loyal and true to each other. TJ never met a stranger and was always quick with a smile or a joke or to lend a helping hand. He was dearly loved by both his friends and family and will be greatly missed.
> TJ is preceded in death by his father, John P. Burns and his brother, Marty Burns. He is survived by his mother, Lucy Madden Burns; his sons, Davis Burns and Nicholas Burns and their mother, Amy Burns; sister Anne Herod(Mark); brothers Tim and Tommy(Sue); 11 nieces and nephews and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
> A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 11720 Joan of Arc, Houston,TX, 77024 on Wednesday, November 10 at 10:30 am with a reception to follow.
> In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his memory to his beloved St. Thomas High School - Learning Enrichment Center, 4500 Memorial Dr., Houston, TX 77007.
