Theresa Inez Valencia

Theresa Inez Valencia, at 83 years of age passed peacefully on August 18, 2024 in Houston Tx. and carried away into the arms of her savior Jesus Christ. Theresa who raised 5 boys David, Wayne, Steven, Walter and Darryl, did so faithfully. Theresa was born in Aztec New Mexico on November 21, 1940. 

Theresa in spite of adversity in her upbringing and all that she endured, she managed to get her diploma as well as a year of college all in her late 30s to early 40s. This to her was a great achievement. She seemed to be just as excited when she passed her drivers test and received her drivers license. This to her brought a feeling of strength and independence. Theresa would later work with special needs adults while residing in Colorado who were in assisted living, showing them how to care for themselves and budget their finances. Theresa found this very rewarding. 

Theresa enjoyed drawing and painting, things she loved sharing with her grandchildren. Theresa enjoyed reading her Bible and sharing her faith with strangers at times. With all our love we will miss you mom, but rejoice because great is your reward.
