Thomas Michael Sperino was born July 2, 1982 on Ft. Hood, TX. He left this world, bound for Heaven, on July 31, 2019. Tom was the first born to his mother, Sherry Lea Townsend and his father, Thomas Michael Joyal. He has brothers, Christopher Sperino and Austin Townsend; a sister, Jennifer Coulbourne; 3 daughters, Leanyah Sperino, Telaney Scroggins and Rebecca Joyal; uncles David Joyal, Jeff Joyal, Henry Michael Mansker and an aunt, Shelley Mansker.
Tom and his twin brother were born 11 weeks premature. We lost his brother, Shawn but at 2 pounds 9 ounces, Tom was a fighter. At 6 weeks old he went home from the hospital without any long term effects of his traumatic beginnings. Tom didn't have an easy life. He was born to poor parents and was diagnosed, early on, with ADHD at the insistence of his teachers. By 19 he was a parent himself. He was trying to support his little family when he injured his back at work. This injury would affect him for the rest of his life.
Any time that Tom needed to relax; there was one thing, more than any that he loved to do. Tommy loved to go fishing. He may have moved a lot in his life, but no matter where he was he soon knew all of the best fishin' holes. There is something about fishing that was just in Tom's blood.
There will be a memorial service for Tom, in Killeen, TX hopefully in October. We are currently waiting for the availability of some out-of-town family. If you wish to be notified of the details please notify LeaTownsend1962@yahoo.com.
