Thomas Philip Wright passed into eternity on April 21, 2017, surrounded by family and friends. Tom was born in Chicago on February 18, 1951, the youngest of five children. As a young man, he excelled in football, and set multiple records as a running back at Sparta High School in New Jersey. On graduation, he entered the oil industry and embarked on a diverse career that included working stints in Odessa, Colorado, Iran, Dubai, Aberdeen and Doha. While in Dubai, he took a month off to visit his brother Harry in Aspen, Colorado where he met Leslie in 1976. Josh and Ashley were born in Connecticut in 1982 and 1983. The family moved to Lafayette, LA in 1991 before settling in The Woodlands in 1994. During Tom's professional career, he worked many different aspects in the industry, from rig construction and management to executive coaching, and management consulting. He also led a field team helping to clean up the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Tom was a man of many words, kind and encouraging. He loved God, his family, and his church.
