Wayne Mccracken

Wayne DeWitt McCracken, 89, passed away on February 2, 2022. He was born on December 14, 1932 in Houston, Texas.

Wayne is survived by his wife Connie McCracken, his grandson Maddox McCracken, and his daughter-in-law, Mandy Bonvillion. He is also survived by his sisters, Dovie Ivey, Merle Lowe and husband Dennis, LaNelle Senchal and husband Don as well as his sister-in-laws, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Wayne was preceded in death by his son, Patrick Wayne McCracken, his parents, Ila and Pat McCracken, and his brother, William Clyde McCracken.

Wayne served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957. Wayne and Connie were married at Deer Park UMC on November 22, 1967. Wayne retired from Camco, Inc. (Schlumberger) in 1992 after 35 years of service. He was a member of Deer Park UMC and Twigbenders Sunday School Class for 32 years. He was a member of Katy FUMC and Good Sam’s for the past 12 years.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 11:00a.m. on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Katy First United Methodist Church, 5601 fifth St, Katy, TX 77493.
