William Donat

William "Bill" Donat February 21, 1939- February 6, 2017 William "Bill" Martin Donat, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2017, in Houston, Texas. Born in Chicago, Illinois to Anthony and Helen Donat, Bill spent his earlier years as a resident of Sharon Hill, PA. In 1981 Bill and his wife, Diane, relocated their young family to Houston, Texas. Bill spent his working years with Gulf Oil and Dynegy before retiring in 2001. His retirement was filled with enjoyable times spent with family and friends who all knew he never turned down a good meal, his favorite beverages or his chocolate desserts. Bill, a great storyteller, treasured reminiscing about past times. The simple things in life were his favorite things. He was loved by many, never short on words and he always looked forward to the day when he would reunite with his youngest son, Kevin. He is survived by his wife, Diane Donat, his two oldest sons and their wives, David and Donna Donat, children Avery and Warner, Mark and Jacqueline Donat, children Cash and Walker, along with his siblings, Ruth Stinson and David Fraser. He will be deeply missed by all. A memorial service will be held on Friday February 10th at Houston Racquet Club in Houston, Texas.
