In Loving Memory of a Husband, Father, Grandfather and Friend. William Harry Lynn (Bill), 79, of Houston, TX passed away Sunday afternoon November 26th, 2017 from a severe illness. He crossed over peacefully with family by his side. Bill was born in Brooklyn, New York on March 16, 1938. Bill loved his wife and family with every fiber of his heart. Time spent fishing with his grandsons were some of his fondest memories and he spoke of those trips often. Bill loved to write and tell stories. If you met him once, you were sure to hear a great story of something that he experienced in his life. He was a huge Astros fan and was so excited to see them win the world series. Bill graduated from Brooklyn Technical High School and served time the Army National Guard while he attended college. He moved his family from New York to Houston, Texas in 1965 when he started his career as an Engineer with NASA and the Apollo program. He prided himself for his contributions in assisting get Apollo 13 back to Earth. Bill also worked many years in the Electric Wholesale Supply industry and later in life he joined Cy-Fair ISD transportation services and loved working with the special needs kids. The kids brought him great joy in his twilight years. Bill is survived by his wife, Janet Lynn; daughter and son in law, Brian and Debbie Withrow; Grandson and Granddaughter in law, Dustin and Christina Austin and Grandson, Bobby Austin. He was preceded in death by parents Harry and Daisy Lynn and son Danny Lynn.
