Wr Pannell

W.R. "Sonny" Pannell passed away on Tuesday, September 11th, 2018 in Houston, Texas. He was born December 27th, 1942, in Henderson, Texas to the late Richard Elmer and Bentley Barthell Box Pannell. He graduated from Henderson High School in 1961, and then went to serve his country in the US Army where he was stationed at Fort Hood, Texas. He was a retired Journeyman Electrician, having been a member of the IBEW Local 716 for over 50 years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his oldest brother George and his wife Ella Pannell, sister Marie "Sis" and her husband Rev. Keith Phipps, and sister-in-law Eugenia "Mickey" Pannell.

He leaves behind his wife of almost 46 years Shirley Pannell, son Rodney Pannell, daughter Becky Dunkerson and husband Randy, grandson Kolten Dunkerson, all of Houston; granddaughter Kirsten Dunkerson of Austin; brother Lee Roy and wife Mary Jane Pannell of Nashville, Tennessee; brother Bill and Shirley Pannell, and brother Ross and Lou Pannell, all of Henderson, Texas, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
