Yoeun Kang, 87, of Dayton, Texas, went to be with Jesus on Friday, June 23, 2017. Born January 18, 1930 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, he was taken in by a local temple and taught the ways of Buddha after being orphaned at 12 years of age. In adulthood, Yoeun was drafted into the Cambodian Army and had a long career at the rank of Sergeant. One of his favorite stories to tell was of traveling Cambodia providing security detail for two CIA agents. Mr. Kang is survived by his wife, Khen Sao; Three Daughters, Sary Gaines and Husband Mason of Niceville, FL, Keathy Kang and Husband Herbert of Québec, Canada, and Saongan Kang and Fiancé Sandy of Fort Worth, TX; Three sons, Sambath Kang and wife Koeun of Seattle, WA, Chanvuthi Kang and wife Tammy of Houston, TX, and David Kang and life partner Clay of Destin, FL; 15 grandchildren, Sam, Sara, Kole, Stefanie, Johanna, Dillon, Kasie, Skye, Angel, Sotharac, Paradee, Kaitlyn, Sean, Brandon, and J.T.
